Hi,
Last Sunday we had a Christmas Party for all the exchange students
in this area, it was my LC's idea but she couldn't do it at her house. My host
family is always super open and of course they agreed to do it at our
house.
My host mum designed the invitation cards, we decorated everything
and I made brownies.
All of the students, families and my LC came in the afternoon and
everyone brought a snack so we had so much food I didn't even know where to
start :D
We played a couple games, I made a Saran Wrap ball and we had the
Jelly Beans that either taste good or super nasty but look the same, we had a
lot of fun :D
Every exchange student brought an ornament as a present which we
gave to each other and our Local Coordinator had one for each family as
well. The rest of the time we were talking, eating, singing karaoke and taking pictures.
I had a lot of fun and it is always
interesting to talk and hear how everything goes with the others. I loved the idea of my LC to have a Christmas Party and I'm already looking forward
to see everyone again next month! We are going to a German restaurant to meet
the new students that are arriving next month!
My neighbors will host a boy from
Austria and I'm so excited to meet him, some people said I have someone to talk
to in German then but by this time that's actually harder than English :D
Sophie :)
