#33 Christmas & what I got

Hey you guys,
Merry Christmas again to y’all!
Don’t you feel like Christmas is always over so fast? This year I had a very special time during Christmas, it was my first American Christmas in Arizona, not how I’m used to with palms and the sun but it was great! Usually, Americans celebrate on the 25th but since we left for our flight on the 23rd we decided to already open our presents on the 22nd. I was so happy and I didn’t even think I would get so much stuff!
I got a Fitbit, a coffee cup with my monogram, a lot of makeup, gift cards and more little stuff. My siblings and I also all got a onesie and they look so funny I feel like a real life gingerbread man haha :D

On the flight to Phoenix something really weird happened, I went through security and suddenly the lady goes „ma’am I have to touch your hair“, so she put on gloves and was tapping my head :D
In Arizona, we had kind of a second Christmas with the rest of the family and I got some Pink clothes, body spray, money and more gift cards. I had a great couple of days there and enjoyed the sun.

We are so glad to have a break now and we used our time to catch up on our favorite TV shows and sleep. As I said it was very different from Germany, no going to church or snow and of course, I also missed that but as an exchange student, you have to be open to new experiences. Unfortunately, I was sick the last two days and on our flight back I couldn’t eat anything the entire day which made me kind of mad because my host dad took us to this lounge at the airport where you can get any kind of food (it’s free!!) like cookies, salad, fruit and usually only rich club members can go there and you can just avoid the airport drama.

Now I am definitely glad to be back in South Carolina and I will probably still do some fun things.
I hope y’all had a great Christmas!
Sophie :)
